Meet Our Staff:
Leading First United Methodist Church of Schuylkill Haven is a team effort. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, pastors and church staff work together in a spirit of unity to fulfill the church's vision of "Welcoming, Empowering, Reaching Out."



Senior Pastor
Rev. Dr. Christopher Fisher

Rev. Dr. Christopher Fisher is an ordained elder in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church, and has served churches in the Philadelphia and Reading areas since 1991.  

Dr. Fisher has a BS and a BA from Lehigh University (1984), M. Div from Asbury Theological Seminary (1990), and PhD from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (2004). He is Adjunct Professor of Theology in the online school at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY, and Director of United Methodist Studies at Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, PA. He is the chair of the Eastern Pennsylvania Evangelical Connection, and chairs the Board of Directors of the Escuela Teologica Evangelica Latina. He also serves as the Treasurer of the Schuylkill Haven and Vicinity Council of Churches, and is the Council of Churches liaison to the Religious and Philosophical Forum of Penn State University, Schuylkill Campus. He is the author of "Human Significance in Theology and the Natural Sciences." For more information on this book, click here.

He lives with his wife Elizabeth and their children, Luke, Mercy, Raquel, and Evangelina, in beautiful Schuylkill County.

 


Youth Pastor
Rev. Kristopher M. Perry

Rev. Kristopher M. Perry is an ordained minister in the Full-Gospel Fellowship and a candidate for ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. He has served as Youth Pastor at FUMC since 2004. Originally from Bethlehem, PA, he has served churches in Allentown, PA, Boston, MA, and Shenandoah, PA. He is currently studying theology at Evangelical Theological Seminary. Previous studies included Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministries at Zion Bible College and Economics at Harvard University. He also serves as the Pastor for Evangelical United Methodist Church in Pottsville, PA.

In addition to serving as Youth Pastor, he serves as District Youth Coordinator and is a member of the Conference Council on Youth Ministry for the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is a speaker for several camps, conferences, retreats, and workshops.

Rev. Perry and his wife Serena live with their children, Olivia, Isaiah, Sarah, and Gabriella, in Schuylkill Haven.
