FUMC OF SCHUYLKILL HAVEN INVITES YOU TO… As we all are aware, COVID is making a mess of summer plans and we're sorry to say that means no in-person SummerBLAST! this year. HOWEVER, We can't wait to share this family fun experience with you! Monthly kits are designed to be a family-friendly alternative to SummerBLAST! and include a fun summer treat to make, a devotion to share while you enjoy your treat and either a game, craft or experiment. If you are interested in joining us for Taste & See this summer, please register below. If you sign up for Taste & See, you are "enrolling" to receive three (3) kits -- one in June, July & August (probably delivered to their door step for FREE!). Yes, this is taking the place of VBS/SummerBlast! So for example, in June -- they will receive a cute box with a Popsicle mold, sugar, two packets of Kool-aid, a recipe to make Kool-Aid Popsicles, a devotion about tasting and see all the good things God has in store for you and supplies to make a Popsicle stick recipe holder. In July, we are looking at frosted and sprinkled Cookies so they will get a packet of sugar cookie mix, frosting and sprinkles, the recipe card, the devotion which focuses on the fact that in order to make yummy cookies it takes both yummy ingredients and some not so yummy ingredients that you would want to eat by themselves but everything works together for God's goodness, and a pack of Oreos for a family game. August is s'mores so they will get supplies to make s'mores, the recipe card, the devotion of having the joy of Jesus no matter what is happening in the world and supplies to make a marshmallow shooter experiment. All simple, cute, yummy and fun! Taste and See Registration First Name Last Name Email Phone Address # of Children Allergies? - Children, Youth & Family Ministry (FX) | First United Methodist Church
CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY FX is an abbreviation for FAMILY EXPERIENCE. FX is a live, dynamic environment designed to help us as the church partner with families. It is a fun, shared experience for families to come together for a purpose. It strategically places parents and kids in a world that helps both understand and live out essential truths regarding wisdom, faith, and friendship. We often say, “What happens at home is even more important than what happens at church.” This means that our faith really isn’t a living faith until it is lived out in our daily lives. Parents and kids look for practical ways to take what happens at church home with them so that it is relevant on a Tuesday afternoon, or a Friday morning, or late at night.
